The four types of publication
What are sector studies and market analyses?
They are the sector inquiries carried out by the Directorate, alone or with the national structures, in industries where the way the market works calls for an overall review.
They feed into the ongoing monitoring of markets and the identification of malfunctions linked to anti-competitive practices.
Which competition policy evaluations are published?
Evaluation work on the Community competition policy, including:
- the ex post evaluation, whose results were shared with the Member States in April 2021;
- the study on the state of competition within UEMOA from 2000 to 2017.
What does the activity report contain?
It is the annual account of the Directorate’s work:
- the cases handled;
- the decisions issued;
- the investigations carried out;
- cooperation and capacity-building activities.
What do the policy documents and practical guides cover?
- The reference framework for the Community competition policy;
- guides for businesses and national structures;
- the proceedings of regional seminars and workshops.
