It appears on the acknowledgement of receipt issued when you filed.

It is sent to you with the acknowledgement of receipt and is different from the case number.

Online tracking will open soon. In the meantime, to find out how your case is progressing, send a request for information quoting your case number.

Holders of an account on the e-Submissions portal will find all their cases, ongoing and closed, in their personal area, without having to enter a code.

Frequently asked questions

I have lost my tracking code.

The code can be reissued to the email address provided when you filed. If that address is no longer accessible, send a request for information stating your case number; the Directorate will carry out the necessary identity checks before reissuing it.

Can several people in my company track the case?

Yes. A company account lets you add several users and assign them distinct roles: filing, viewing, responding to requests. Every action is logged in the name of the user who performs it.

Can third parties access case tracking?

No. Detailed tracking of a case is available only to the applicant and to authorised staff. For merger transactions, third parties can consult the Concentrations under Review section, which presents the information made public.
