eTrack service
Track your case
One case number, one tracking code: check at any time the current stage of review, the documents received and any requests addressed to you.
Once your case has been filed, you are not left without news. The eTrack service keeps you continuously informed of the current stage of review, the documents received and the deadlines that concern you.
Access your case

The stages of a case
| Stage | What happens | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| Filed | The case is registered and time-stamped; you are issued a case number and a tracking code. | Supply any missing documents. |
| Under verification | The Directorate checks that the case is complete and admissible. | Respond to a request to correct or complete your filing. |
| Under review | The case team carries out the analysis, consults third parties and, where applicable, the national competition body concerned. | Respond to requests for information; submit additional material. |
| Right to be heard | The parties are given the opportunity to submit observations on the objections or the analysis. | Submit your observations within the time allowed. |
| Advisory Committee | The draft decision is submitted to the Advisory Committee on Competition for its opinion. | No action required. |
| Decision | The Commission adopts its decision and gives notice of it. | Read the decision; exercise your right of appeal before the Court of Justice. |
| Closed | The procedure is complete; the case remains available in your personal area. | Download all documents. |
Frequently asked questions
I have lost my tracking code.
The code can be reissued to the email address provided when you filed. If that address is no longer accessible, send a request for information stating your case number; the Directorate will carry out the necessary identity checks before reissuing it.
Can several people in my company track the case?
Yes. A company account lets you add several users and assign them distinct roles: filing, viewing, responding to requests. Every action is logged in the name of the user who performs it.
Can third parties access case tracking?
No. Detailed tracking of a case is available only to the applicant and to authorised staff. For merger transactions, third parties can consult the Concentrations under Review section, which presents the information made public.
